We are a registered company in Iceland and our identity number is 450201-3670. When you
book a travel experience or rent a vehicle with Fjallajeppar ehf these terms and conditions form
the basis of your contract with us. Please read them carefully as they are legally binding. When
you make a booking with Fjallajeppar ehf you undertake that you have the authority to accept
and do accept these booking conditions on behalf of yourself and your party. A contract shall be
deemed to have been made between Fjallajeppar ehf and The Client, when the Client has
confirmed requirements verbally or by mail, and Fjallajeppar ehf has accepted such booking by
sending a confirmation. Your contract is made with Fjallajeppar ehf Köllunarklettsveg 4
Reykjavík Iceland..
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE LEASE:
1. Fjallajeppar ehf reserves the right to decide the route driven,unless otherwise agreed in advance. (only when cars
are rented with drivers .)
2. Fjallajeppar ehf accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to luggage or other items that are transported in
or on its vehicles.
3.Fjallajeppar ehf reserves the right to collect a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee, however, can never be greater
than the negotiated price for the service in question.
4. The stated price for travel with a private driver assumes travel to and from Fjallajeppar ehf operating center.
5. A special surcharge is charged during major public holidays. The surcharge is 40% on the following days:
Christmas Eve (after 12 noon), Christmas Day, December 31 (after 12 noon), New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter
Sunday, White Sunday (Pentecost), June 17 (Independence Day), The August Bank Holiday (First Monday in August)
(only when cars are rented with drivers .)
6. For other services in connection with the driving services, the customer pays in accordance with the Fjallajeppar
ehf price list.
7. In the event of any claims against Fjallajeppar ehf in relation to the lease service, the liability of Fjallajeppar ehf is
limited to refunding an amount not exceeding the lease price.
8. Fjallajeppar ehf liability for physical damage or damage to items is limited to the compensation paid on the basis of
Fjallajeppar ehf third-party liability insurance as in effect each time.
9. Fjallajeppar ehf accepts no responsibility for any delays of whatever nature.
10. Smoking in Fjallajeppar ehf vehicles is absolutely prohibited. In event of a violation thereto, a fine of up to ISK
150.000 per day will be imposed.
11. In the event that the customer damages Fjallajeppar ehf vehicle, or if his conduct is such that the vehicle must be
cleaned especially, the customer is to pay compensation equivalent to the expense incurred by Fjallajeppar ehf to
remedy the situation.
All claims and disputes that relate to the provided services must be notified within 7 days from the issue of the
invoice. Cleaning fee from 25.000.- isk to 50.000.-isk
12. Fines for damages to the vehicle, whether to the interior or the exterior, may amount to up to ISK 1.000.000.- ISK
irrespective of the vehicle involved.
13.Renter is fully responsible for any fines during rental time.
14.The renter agrees to return the vehicle to the lessor on the agreed date and place, as written in the contract, or
earlier if the lessor so insists. Should the vehicle not be returned on the agreed time, a fee equal to 1/3 of the daily
rate shall be charged for each hour of delay.
15.Any violation of Icelandic law, or of any of the terms or conditions of this contract, by the renter or any other driver
which the renter has granted permission to operate or drive the vehicle, renders the renter is fully responsible for all
damages done to the vehicle whatever the cause may be.
16. All cars must be returned with a full tank of gas . Service for refueling is 5.000 kr.
Contract
Our bookings are tailored to your requirements and thus subject to availability. Before a booking
is confirmed, full details of your proposal will be sent to you by email along with a price
quotation. Once you have accepted our proposal, we will proceed to take payment and issue
you with a booking confirmation in the form of a paid invoice. A binding contract between
Fjallajeppar ehf. and you (the lead name on the booking or an agent acting on your behalf) is
only formed when we issue our booking confirmation after having received payment from you of
either the required deposit or the full price of your trip.
Cancellation terms & condition
Cancellation by client
In the event that the service is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the service must be
paid in full and will not be refunded.
Driving services involving more than one vehicle for longer than a single-day lease must be
canceled with at least 48 hours’ notice; otherwise, the customer must pay 50% of the negotiated
service. In the event of cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice, the negotiated service must
be paid 100%.
Cancellation is only valid in Written
In the event that the service is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the service must be
paid in full and will not be refunded.

50% REFUND if canceled 15- 30 day(s) before the start of your journey
30% NON REFUNDABLE 31 day(s) and more before the start of your journey
Changes
For a change to an existing reservation, a fee may be charged. Date changes may be
considered a trip cancellation and cancellation charges may apply.
If original rates are no longer available for your changed travel dates, additional charges may
apply. Fees can be from 10% to 100%
If You Cancel
A cancellation request needs to be in writing. Cancellation fees may be charged. For no-show
the cancellation charge may be as much as 100%.
There is no refund for any individual unused service or unused portion of your trip. Hotel
bookings canceled after scheduled departures are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
Amendments to the Terms
Fjallajeppar ehf. reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and the price list. The
customer, however, must be notified of any such amendments.
Suspension of services
Fjallajeppar ehf. reserves the right to suspend services without notice in the event of default or
other such circumstance. In the event that invoices are not paid within 30 days of their issue.
Unused Services
Once travel has begun, Fjallajeppar ehf. is not obliged to make any kind of reimbursement for
unused or partially used services or provide refunds for trips which are interrupted or shortened
by participants themselves for any reason whatsoever.
Third Party Providers
Hotels and other tourist services included in your trip are arranged by us with local suppliers.
We will always endeavor to appoint reputable suppliers. The terms and conditions of hotels and
other providers will be applicable and are expressly incorporated into the contract. These may
limit or exclude their liability.
Responsibility
Fjallajeppar ehf can not be held responsible for personal injury, property damage, bankruptcy or
any other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity caused by other companies or
persons or for conditions beyond its control, direct or otherwise. Upon booking a tour, each
participant will be required to read and to sign a liability waiver form. No reservations will be
accepted until this is signed.
Liability
In all arrangements involving third parties Fjallajeppar ehf. acts only as the agent of the Client
and no liability of any kind whatsoever shall be attached to Fjallajeppar ehf. in connection with
or arising from such arrangement with a third party Fjallajeppar ehf. will not be responsible for
loss, damage or injury to any person or their property, however caused.
